From their official website:
BA'AL – five guys kickin’ asses heavy as fuck. Heavy driving hardcore and diabolic melodies meet vocals out of the deepest depths of hell. If you can imagine SEPULTURA (in times of “Arise“ or “Chaos A.D.“) fucking with bands like BOLT THROWER, EIGHTEEN VISIONS and IN FLAMES, BA'AL would be the product...only with a better hair style.
BA'AL started out in the beginning of 2002 in Erfurt/Germany with only one aim: hitting your balls. And that’s what our music is all about. A good thrashing from the first to the last second but no dull e-chord moshing at all.
After the promising self-released CDep “The Babel Concept” (March 2003) - which received many praises in the metal and hardcore press - our first full-length release “The Lilith Complex” (July 2004) on CIRCULATION RECORDS was the consequential advancement of the BA'AL style - mixing 90th heavy metal riffing and catchy melodies with ultra heavy modern grooves.
Many people ask where the name BA'AL comes from. BAAL was the first book written by Bertolt Brecht and it’s purism initially inspired us to use that name as our bandname. Further-more the figure of BA'AL in mythology and history was the icing on the cake that made the choice of that band name perfect.
3) The correct tag for the Japanese industrial band is BAAL. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
