Elif Demirezer, known by her stage name ELIF is a German singer/songwriter of Turkish origin. She was born on the 12th of December 1992, and grew up in Moabit, Berlin where she began writing songs and playing guitar as a teenager. At age 16, she made her first major public appearance on the 8th season of casting show 'Popstars' and since then has released 3 albums. As of 2020, ELIF changed her style from pop music to more urban hip hop style, collaborating with German rappers including Samra, to produce a new sound. Short hair and dresscode in all black are her trademarks and her songs are often characterised by a deep sense of emotion.
